I chatted with a colleague today. I told him he looked good. He said "really"? "Well I am tired, but that's okay cause I am gonna have holidays soon. I'm taking 5 weeks off." We spoke about his daughter, who is overseas on holidays and phones him regularly. We spoke about his siblings. The conversation carried a little more weight than most do. As he sat at his post he cheerfully said bye to each person as they walked out. Some were friendly, engaging him with a smile and a comment others walked on with no comment. He kept up his cheerful rapport with every one who passed by. One thing that is amazing about his whole demeanour is that he is content. He is just taking his days one by one, speaking those things that need to be spoken about, and not concerning himself with things that really don't matter. It wasn't but 8 weeks ago when he showed up to work with a cut across his forehead. He had also an incision just below his left ear. I casually asked if he was doing well after his lobotomy. He laughed. A couple of hours later I crossed him in the halls and quietly apologized. "Sorry, about making light of your battle with cancer. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful." He smiled and said not to worry, he didn't take any offence. I am impressed with this true gentleman who when things are not going well ( an understatement ) is a cheerful ambassador about living with a smile and respecting those he comes in contact with.

well well well you have us oh so busy this monday Morning so I best be with my 'A' game
Well it's the Austrian Empire
and the phrase is a sort of teaching tool,, but it could mean this or explain or transfer into this
which means 'fish that get eaten by cats that get chased by dogs swim fast'
Now onto the Monks I mean the renovation of dzong, I mean this Semtokha place,, not an easy place to search for online. Maybe these Monks would prefer this renovation for their Dzong to be private, maybe they want some peace there. I mean the 'reno' has taken a long time to do, beginning in 2005 and not finished till 2007....patient these Monks are.
So I am looking around and I find a Bhutan Portal which is between India, Thialand. And ironically enough they welcomed the King of India there....They do many exports with Bangladish.
1. The British Empire
2. They are learning English and producing electricity. They are behind because they are an agricultural based culture.
3. It belongs to Bhutan which is a former Bristish Colony but is now its own country. Biggest trading partner is India, biggest exports to Germany
4.Dogs chase cats. Cats eat fish. Fish swim fast.
5. Here is a story about little Johnie Nory, he upchucked.
Good to have you back Chanks...
Send AV and invite. She is waiting.
If memory serves me correctly it's July 31st today, and that is a special day for some ppl who wander through these 'parts' hope you're having a marvelous day ;)
That is a little bit more than ten words, Targo!
Hey that was ten words. There ya go Chankslee.
Now I need a ten word story..........
Did you hear about AV?
she really is super crazy!!!!
legend AV=My Mom!
Another ten worder.
In case you didn't know, craziness runs in the family!
AV
you're making me think about a good and witty reply momma ;)
the "a" game is needed. both of you are close....
i ask
is that your FINAL answer???
puh-sam and AV where are yous?
so there are some 'issues' with our findings? hhhmmmm must dig deeper.... YIKES
Hey Chanks, do seeing eye dogs where glasses? What kind of saucer? Flying? hhhmmm
1. British Empire
2.They're building a monastery. The national assembly.
3.Bhutan India
4. "fish cats dogs chase eat swim fast"
When you are out swimming and it starts raining cats and dogs you chase a fish into your frying pan and eat it really fast.
5. Once upon a time there was a boy named Chankslee.
that was AV who posted that
FYI the blog has been having technical difficulties as of late :P
Before I forget Chanks,
"tell me more" =
international language learning software application available for over 100 languages. (another ten worder)
This would be great for all those monks in Semtokha. 9another 10 worder)lol
AV
I can't beat the entries made already. I concede this one. My knowledge and research was not as extensive as either targo or dadost. Thanks for the invite to put an entry in to compete here chanks, but unfortunately for me I can't win this one.
Even though I don't think I can add any more to questions one, two or three, I do have a couple of things I'd like to say about questions four and five, because they are begging for sly responses from people who like to wreak havoc on the minds of others.
Fishkatzed Ogzeetfe Aast (pronounced "fish-kat-zuhd og-zeet-fuh ah-ast") is the Gaelic pronunciation of an old ceremonial dance performed by each member of a village or tribe as the rest stand in a circle around a fire. It was an attempt by each tribe member to portray the persona of one of the gods that they believed kept the universe functioning. Personally, as an agnostic, I neither believe nor disbelieve in one or more gods, but I find the concept of several gods somehow feels more like a true description of the nature of the spiritual world to me, so I really admire these sorts of dances, and I regret that numbers of people who believe in multiple gods has dwindled to such a tiny number in the world.
A ten word story: conception, pregnancy, birth, infancy, walking, speaking, learning, thriving, metamorphasizing, spirit
Sorry I got that Gaelic expression wrong. It's actually "fishkatzed ogzchay seatswuh muhfast".
Oops oh yeah and the last word I read wrong from the runes. Actually it's "muhf aast".
Why isn't there any seeing eye cats?
An agnostic says I can't see if there is a God. An Athiest says there is no God to see.
As an agnostic Psam maybe you need a seer to see if there is a God.
Doast
There are many people who claim to be seers who all say different things. Which one should I listen to? They all seem to have good things to say. As far as I am concerned, any person who claims to have knowledge about God or spirits or another realm is worth listening to. They are all seers for me, and if their different explanations sound somehow contradictory, then I meditate on their different descriptions until I can meld them into a single paradigm that feels right to me.
Good advice you have given me doast. And yes, cats seem to function the same spiritually, as seeing eye dogs do physically.
