Borat for Prez in the US and A? High Five. (hiccup)

I went for a walk today and stumbled into the remains of an accident. The roads were wet, where a driver lost control after a round about, plowing into a front yard. I got closer noticing that the house was damaged too. A camper trailer which was sitting in the driveway was clipped, and it careened into the house, smashing the front door and side window in. A small tree was snapped off in the yard and the black car was resting on top of the garden and some massive shrubs. I arrived at the scene, where neighbours were congregating. A father and his two children passed by, no doubt going for an afternoon walk. It turns out that the driver was a "P" plater, or young driver, who was under the influence of alcohol. It looks to me like he was going quite a bit over the 60 km speed limit. Nobody was injured. Drinking does not mix with driving.

In the case of Senator John Kerry, who is promoting the Democrats to be elected, I am wondering if he was drinking. If so, rest assured it was not water. I mean, for a man who is a career politician, this was not a good idea. What a ridiculous joke. It wasn't even funny. His job, to spruik for his party is mainly staged anyways. Lets face it. Nobody in the audience was going to dispute anything he said. All he had to do was appear and smile, and rah rah rah. Game over. Easy. Bush is widely unpopular, and as he has just completed two terms in office, the power is ready to shift to the other side. The Democrats really just need to run a safe campaign, and don't need any risky plays. In football speak, it is half time and the Republicans are down 34 to nothing. I really think he should know better. Enter Senator Kerry. His comments were on education. He stated that if you went to school, worked hard, and tried hard there was a bright future for you. If you didn't, you got sent to Iraq. ( to fight as an American soldier ) Dumb. Bushie, in his own staged "rally" has demanded an apology.

Try a couple of clips there, you will find pro and con views for each side. I can almost hear Hillary laughing. Tip your head on a 45 degree angle you may hear her laughing too. Now to just get rid of that Ford challenger. I wonder if it will be Condi, vs Clinton?

And yes, You Tube does rock. They must, cause gooooogle bought them too.

Whatever happened to Ross Perot?

Two quotes from the movie V For Vendetta which I just saw: "people shouldn't be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people" and (spoken by the prime minister) "we want them to KNOW HOW BAD THEY NEED US!!"
What an excellent movie. Here's the real chart-topping quote: "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter", which is precisely why many of Bush's actions can be regarded as terrorism from some people's point of view.
Inability to understand these simple concepts can indeed be attributed to poor education. It can be attributed to propaganda in schooling. Military is a place where people go who believe that they want to make it the focus of their lives to become sophisticated killing machines. The entire sum of their training is based around using weapons. Not an intelligent endeavour. A lot of the time, they believe that by killing some people, they are saving others. I have become convinced that when they are told this, they are lied to be their governments. They are in fact just killing people.
Kerry should have been careful. Sometimes if you are too truthful, you turn a lot of people against you and they end up irretrievably hating you. Then they go back to supporting the killing machine that their nation thrives on.

Here's another video clip. This one's ten minutes long. The speaker is eloquent and intelligent. I spent a couple of hours looking at the responses to this feud between Bush and Kerry. All the responses that were made in outrage against Mr. Kerry were reactionary, uninformative, and ill considered. I believe that the man in this video, Mr. Olbermann, conveys an intelligence and depth of thought that unfortunately is not demonstrated by any presidential candidate.

Does it really matter? Why would the US even consider Clinton ? I mean what good were the Clintons last time they held power???

And as always people are claiming there is trouble with the votes.. as always there's a huge issue or a problem! As today is Election day

Looks like for now the Republicans are holding strong......

I notice there is no confusion as to which room women should use. Maybe women should rule the country.

wannabe.....I like how you think......

I believe women in general are too gracious to rule the country. Perhaps women would lead the country, but even in that event they'd often be considerate enough to ask men's opinion. Ruling people implies that they have to do what you told them to just simply because you told them. Leading implies suggesting to people that they all follow a code of conduct and trying to obtain the mutual consent of all those that choose to be considerate and co-operative.
That's not to say that men aren't capable of leading instead of ruling. One example that springs to mind is Louis Riel. He led a group of people that were being tyrannized by the infamously oppressive and violently ruthless Canadian government. He saw himself as their protector, and he cared about them. They followed him because they knew he was trying to save them from their attackers.
Because of Louis Riel, the first railroad was built spanning much of Canada. John A. MacDonald figured that he needed a way to transport Canadian troops to quash the rebellion that was "threatening his country". So, he built the railroad, and that enabled them to pin the Metis down, and finally hang Riel.
A hundred and some odd years later, Riel was officially recognized by the Canadian government as the hero he was. It's nice when a government can admit to their own mistakes.
The government has indeed tried to repair the damage done to those people and their descendants, and has made some progress. Canadian citizens, though, on the whole, still think "drunken Indians" are nothing but a pain. This attitude continues to leave our natives in a state of despair and disillusionment. It is hard to feel accepted in a nation that has destroyed your people and your way of life. It doesn't make it any easier when empathy, or at the very least sympathy, is scarce.
If women had stronger positions of leadership, I believe this injustice would not be allowed to occur.

I am sorry. I believe the phrase "our natives" implies some sort of ownership. I meant to say "our native friends". People like myself could indeed also be described as "our second generation immigrants", without taking any offense. I also would like to be called a "second generation immigrant friend" by anyone else that occupies this nation that somewhat shamefully uses the name Canada.
