Hey, I nominate this as the picture of the year so far. This in my opinion is the best one I have seen in 2006! Incredible detail! Look for it in your local papers.

So, I will ask again. If you could tarnish a legends name would you. Should you? see previous blog.... first line.

Riots in France. It seems like there is one every other month. Now I would love to be proved wrong but it seems to me that the unions have too much power in the land of fries; or is that fires. If what I read is correct, it is virtually impossible to fire someone, then don't ya reckon the pendulum has to swing the other way. Again, I don't know. Unions. Are they not a bit outdated now? Do they even have a place in today's workplace? I read this week that the Black Plague was one of the contributing factors to the end of serfdom. Suddenly workers were a precious commodity, as there were none. With an ageing population, aren't blue workers in demand again? Apparently not in France. I am probably out of touch and ill informed. Let me know.

Chankslee.

out of touch and ill informed? Isn't that fodder for so called psam-unt. this is his chance. you really knocked him down. good job. he sounds like a utopian socialist to me.

You said it. People became "Comodities".

If human beings were treated with respect and dignity instead of being treated like comodities or numbers then there would not be mob troubles like what we see in France.

It would be "Utopia"

Socialist Utopia, Democrat Utopia, Republican Utopia, whatever, it would still be Utopia

Psam seems to be a pretty famous person. He/she has a following. Maybe this is the famous person who you have information on. Tarnish the reputation, I say! Unless it's regarding #99 The Great One ofcourse. He has enough troubles.
People have it too easy now adays! These rioters should be working making a living but they are probably on welfare therefore have all the time in the world to riot and deface civic property. Is Psam their leader? Get back to work!
The people are outta control. Think of all the money the big corporations have invested in their workers and this is the thanks they get. ungrates!

PSAM is not pretty, and he is not famous, BUT HE IS A PERSON.

Would be nice if "Corporations" treated their investments as PERSONS. There might be a lot less people on welfare if they did.

Psam off. Enough about psam! What has Psam done for his country? What makes psam so special? Some people get famous because they have a talent, others for their looks. So what has this psam got?
Money? Does psam buy his following? Don't trust psam.

Chankslee, you asked about tarnishing a famous person's reputation. If a famous person thinks he's famous because he's somehow better than anybody else, then he deserves to have his reputation tarnished, so go ahead. If a famous person recognizes that he makes mistakes just like everybody else, and enjoys opportunities to improve his own character by learning from his mistakes, then he'd probably rather you point it out to him first that he's done something despicable, because he may not be aware that he's done it, and he'd like the opportunity to atone for it before everybody's heard about it in the news. So again, go ahead and tarnish his reputation, but please show a little fairness first.
I can't make heads or tails out of that picture and I can't WAIT to be enlightened about it, I'll bet it speaks far more than a thousand words.
I hate being called a utopian socialist, it's such an insult. All the prophets of religions are utopian socialists and none of them seem to have done any good for the world: Muhammed, Jesus Christ, Buddha, and a few others. Huge numbers of people get killed by people who claim to be acting in the interests of these utopian socialists. Osama Bin Laden kills people because he figures Muhammed would want it. George W. Bush (among other American presidents) has killed thousands and thousands and claims he's doing it in Jesus Christ's good graces. I somehow think Jesus has been holding his head in his hands for the last few years and saying to himself "George for the love of God, stop firing bombs at cities full of people" while welcoming dead innocent Muslims into their afterlife and apologizing profusely for their horrible deaths.
So please stop calling me a utopian socialist. If you have a more specific criticism that I can learn from, I would welcome it. I fully respect your lack of utopian socialism because I'm sure there are people in the world you venemously wish to erase from existence. Perhaps you do not believe all people can be forgiven. Perhaps you do not believe all people think their acting in others' best interests.
Naivety is a mistake, not a crime. It is an indicator of a person's willingness to be good to others. If a naive person asks you for protection, then perhaps educating them to stop being naive so they won't be a burden on you is fair. Seeing beauty in naivety makes your life happier.
Thanks again for this website.
p.s. someone asked what I've done for my country. What matters is not what you do for country, but rather what you do for all other people in the world. They're all just as important.

So Chankslee I have been reading the blog a little more in detail as my mom has gotten me thinking about it in depth.....It's interesting that you draw refrence to both New York city and France.....ever notice that their flags are the same colour,, yes the picture is added with the New York Flag but well you see the similarities ;)

Now you have to think about the FIAT again you know it made Paul smile when he saw the burning car........

I'm flattered by someone's interest in my opinion. It's perhaps unfair of me to answer the question since it seems from a few comments that there are a lot of people who wish I'd keep my opinions to myself but in general I think those people are the types that believe certain people in the world deserve more consideration and respect than others, so I'm not inclined to respect their wishes that I be silent.
I was asked what I thought of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. In both cases as in any case of war, there are large numbers of people whose lives would not be destroyed (if you can't figure out what destroyed means look it up in the dictionary, it often involves either a bomb or a gun) if these wars did not happen. And also in both cases there are probably people whose lives would be subject to tyranny and oppression and destruction if these wars were not fought. Somehow I believe that the former cases outnumber the latter. I also believe that there are better ways to save people from oppression than bombing their cities. I also believe that there are great numbers of American soldiers in Iraq who have truly noble intentions. If you've ever seen Born On the Fourth of July, then you've seen a demonstration (which I've heard from an American soldier is quite accurate) of how their noble intentions can be taken advantage of by a government that does not care about the innocent lives that their army is endangering. I believe Rummsfeld is an uncaring, callous individual whose primary motivation is power for his government and usually at the expense of people's lives and happiness. I believe that military troops on both sides of both conflicts are being tricked by their governments into thinking that their fight is a noble one within the constructs of their religions, when in fact it is not, and they are joining their nations' militaries and killing people and causing more harm than good. Governments use their religions as a way of motivating their citizens to fight wars, and I can't think of anything that more fits the definition of the word blasphemy. I believe that the top members of both governments don't really believe in the religions they claim to support, but rather that they recognize the power it gives them over their citizens to claim that they are acting on behalf of their religion.
This is a glimpse into some of the things I think about these wars. Here's one more point. America is like a playground bully running around and stealing other kids' lunch money and grinding their faces into the dirt while doing it, and using a small portion of that money to buy a nice dessert for a girl he thinks is cute and getting everybody to say what a wonderful guy he is for buying it for her. The tragedy of 911, if you look at numbers of people destroyed in America versus the number of people killed in their military campaigns against other nations, was very much like that bully getting a black eye one day. And then their invasion of Iraq was very much like that bully getting angry about the kid who gave him a black eye so he runs off and breaks the arms of a kid who called him a weezul two weeks ago. A lot of Americans naively believe their government is not killing innocent people in Iraq. I believe they've killed far more innocent people in Iraq than were killed in 911.
Please pay some credit to Chankslee for inciting these discussions. He is a person of great compassion and wisdom. And his questions and criticisms towards me may be valid, and they've never been degrading or spiteful, in fact usually I've laughed my livin' ass off when I read them. Except the one time.
