...Presto! You have HOLY WATER now.

I reckon she looks a little but dangerous. I guess most women are, if you give them reason to be. If you look closer, at the hair, can you see anyone else?

Vampires. How do you kill a vampire? Let's see. A crucifix. Garlic. What if the vampire is enticing? Would you want to ward them off? A characteristic of a vampire is they have no shadow, and you won't find them in any mirrors. So be careful, you may have to put these vampires to the test so you can make sure you are not caught. Why? Well you see, these bats, will suck you dry. You had better not call them parasites though. You will find them in parliament, and they usually have a lot to say. They will also appear as lobbyists or part of a special interest group. In the end they will suck you dry. Your tax dollars at work folks.

We recently had a news item which caught my interest. A young man, not quite 20 has successfully sued the New South Wales state for one million dollars. He will also receive a wage for the rest of his life, paid for by the state. It seems that he was bullied when he was 6 years old. He wasn't abused sexually, or made a public example of, but when he was six, there were some boys who taunted him, which has scarred him for the rest of his life. School officials told the mother of the boy that bullying was a part of growing up, and that all kids had to go through it. I think that is where he won the case. A problem was brought to the authorities and they failed to act. That sux.

Now that we are talking about vampires, you know.... imaginary things, Psam posed a question to me.

What would make the world a better place?
a) if everybody knew what the laws were and followed them
b) if everyone had a decent amount of common sense.

My view was different to our beloved Psam's. He said I was brainwashed and inbred. Now I have a question for you. Which is the better answer. Question two. Is Psam a bully?

Oh and for the rest of us. A word of wisdom. The recipe for holy water is as follows....

1- put some ordinary water into a pot
2- boil the hell out of it....

I did not say you were inbred and brainwashed, chankslee. I said that the mentality that creates rule of law was created in an inbred, brainwashed microcosmic societal atmosphere. The roots of today's government in our countries lie in European monarchy, which is a well documented haven of inbreeding. When I say inbreeding, I'm not just talking about the genetic lineage. I'm also talking about the concept of laws for millions of people being created by a monarchy which consists of a tiny portion of that population. This law-making sect has little regard or sympathy for the majority of the population and also is an extremely small fountain for ideas to flourish. The democracies created in the wake of those monarchies have inherited many of the same perverse mentalities in their constitutional construction. In many cases, democracy is indeed an improvement on those monarchies, but still leaves tremendous problems with imbalance of power, torturous neglect of human rights, and unhappy environments for life.
Rule of law has its place, but if you've ever broken the speed limit, then perhaps you should be answering b instead of a, because your common sense probably made it very clear to you that you weren't doing anything unsafe or reprehensible, but your need to follow rule of law probably made you feel unnecessarily guilty.
If everybody believed answer a over answer b, the world would not have seen the likes of Louis Riel, Martin Luther King Jr, Nicolaus Copernicus, and many others who challenged the rules they were forced to live under.
There is no set of rules that is universally fair. There is no way to construct a legal system that won't have injustices inherent in it. There are many people who follow every single law that has been made and yet manage to perpetrate horrendous acts for selfish greedy purposes.
And yes, I am a bully.

hey bully,

please give me an example where the laws for millions are created by a monarchy and it has had dire consequences for our people today. Not 50 years ago, not 100 years ago. Within the last year.

Wow chankslee, am I ever glad you asked. Do you have twelve hours to put aside, because I'm gonna answer you in Aramaic?
When a law is created, there must be a counter-law to provide for those people that are being vicitimized by it.
For instance, let's look at the law that you should not steal. The counter-law would be that you should not miss out on a chance to give someone help when they need it and you've got it to give. If you do not create this counter-law, then all the people who do not have enough in their lives to provide for themselves are being victimized. They have two choices: either steal, or slowly die a lonely death of starvation and neglect.
The fact that the counter-law was never created lends well to the observation of how monarchies have inherently unfair characteristics that have been absorbed by our current democratic institutions. A person living with a position of power and control in a monarchy, whether a duke, an earl or queen, would not be interested in creating this counter-law, because they are the ones that have all the wealth, the power, and the recognition. They want a law that protects their wealth, so of course they want people to think it's wrong to steal. They do not foresee themselves being in a position where they will need help from others, so they don't care about putting this fundamental ideal of human society into their legal construct. The absolute corruption that comes with absolute power seems to be quite readily observable in this attitude that has been proliferated into our way of believing we can co-exist. So it can be said that every time you see a homeless person who cannot afford to feed themselves, there is a dire consequence of victimization being perpetrated against people today by a legal system that was founded in a monarchy. Today. And 50 years ago. And 100 years ago. I believe most of us have seen such a crime. We have seen a homeless person and didn't know how they would be fed. I would imagine you have sometimes given help to such a person. Also, you may have felt shame at not knowing how you could do anything to give this person the help they need. You should not feel shame. You have done your best. Have faith in yourself. We live in nations which possess the huge task of providing a happy environment for an astronomical number of people. Our ability to define those nations is an immense struggle, and we can all take pride in the fact that we are doing our best. We can do better, and we will.
Another example of a law that is criminally unfair to large numbers of people, that is the product of monarchistic legal systems, is drafting people to go to war.
Gas prices.
Overcrowding in prisons.
Any of the laws that are hoping to enforce the cutting down of the rainforest are destructive to our world which we need to live on. This causes the extinction of animals which we share our world with, reduces chances of finding very important medicinal resources for our society, and speeds up global warming. It also makes the aboriginals that live in these places homeless. Laws that neglect these important functions are affiliated with centralized legal doctrine. And they are destroying us today. How will we avoid this?
Anyone know how to translate bully into aramaic?

Ya Psamy what's with the Ra?

Like Rah Rah Rah.....

Three Cheers,,,

By the way, Psam you lost me in that last rant.... but you usually lose me in all of your rants. So many sentances that are so full of ..... words. Kind of like when we went to Expo and saw all those images flashin at us at hyper speed.

Can you summarize it and put it into layman's terms?

I like the power paragraph on not stealing, and the homeless people. Why just tonight I was approached by a person who said he was homeless but he was standing outside a liquor store,,,,, and he was an aboriginal. Then I saw a hungry person at Cassiar and Hastings, that was given something from a motorist and was busy eating it.

How do people end up like they do? Then we went to Safeway and there was a big billboard about then wanting to hire me? Can you imagine it them wanting to hire ME?

I was flattered. Here I was turfed out by my last employer like a used coffee cup.

I don't know whether to feel sorry for myself or feel ashamed of myself.
