Diplomacy theories--> lessonizing
So, in the previous post you saw the looong letter. I was thinking that Psam could have written it. It seems to be the kind of letter he would right errr write.
Now why is Mahmood so smart? Let us look
Lesson one. Always appear to tell the truth at the beginning. Iran. We hate Israel, we will take nuclear power for ourselves, and YOU should all butt out. None of this mamby pamby pussy footing around. Tell it as it is. Hey look what happened to the other guy….. “ I did not have sexual relations with THAT WOMAN….” A lie bites ya…..
Lesson two. Make yourself warm and fuzzy. In the letter, I am not the leader of the Islamic Republic, I am a teacher. Heck, who doesn’t like a teacher? Well there was this one….
Lesson three. Garner public support. How? Find the most vocal opponents of your opponent, preferably in his own country, and plagiarise their views.
Lesson four. Attempt a swipe at getting support from your opponents main supporters. It was said that the religious middle America re elected Bush. Mahmood comes across as somewhat caring, and one that is the follower of his god.
Lesson five. Tactfully smear your opponent. Make him look like a false believer, one who is generally disliked by everyone else, and one who will oppress the little guy to get ahead himself.
Lesson six. Appear honourable.
Lesson seven. Complicate the issue. Let everyone else argue, and point fingers…. and we will quietly go about our business…….. “Raj, hurry up with those cadmium rods for Allah’s sake.” “Mohammed, pass me the heavy water.”
Now lets look at a few other facts.
Did you know—Iran belongs to OPEC
They are the second largest exporter ( or third ) of oil within OPEC
Population- 69 million.
GDP- 550 billion
Over 90% of the population is Muslim.
Notice lately, the suggestion that Indonesia, which has the world’s highest Muslim population has been suggested as a possible mediator. And the big question is….
If Iran is swimming in oil, why do they need nuclear power? It sounds a little fishy to me. Let us look back at lesson one. Hmmm.
Lastly.
Tara I need you on this one.
I added the word plagiarize to this piece. Do I spell it the first way, (above)< see lesson 3> or the way I just spelt it? I prefer the first way. Is one way more correct than the other way?
Is Mah (HappyMood) mood correct or is Bushie correct? Or both, or neither.
I know Psam nose.

Hey Chanks, what does 'lessonizing' mean? I guess what you wrote is One Man's Opinion. It seems to me that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is no different than every other politician. When I read the letter written to George, that you posted, I thought it was quite sincere. Your 7 little lessons haven't convinced me.
According to dictionary.com they are both right and usable although the one with the 'z' in it actually has more refrences to it.
Personally I think it's spelling differentials come into play depending on where in the world you live ;)
I like you already, newbie. Thanks for your comment. You are right. He does appear sincere. How many times do you reckon he would have edited his copy of the letter, knowing it would be released to the world. Notice he took a swipe at the media, as he used them to get his view published. I liked that.
Tara,,, thanks for the plagiarise! What DOES lessonizing mean anyways? If you had to spell it how would you?
lessonizing
this doesn't appear to be a word....although just sec....
nope I checked another source and still nothing. Yes I know what the word means and how to use it
to lessonize ~ to create a lesson out of something that typically doesn't have a lesson attatched to it.
lessonizing ~ the parent wanting their child to fully understand a lesson went on a lessonizing spree.
so you now have happymood and the poodle and bushy whats next a a lessonizing??????
good point though iran looks like they dont need nuke power. Would they use a nuke bomb?
Thanks chanks. I actually must admit I was sucked in by the Iranian propaganda. It is extremely well written as you observed. When it comes right down to it though, any leader that is willing to construct an armed force is willing and capable to sacrifice innocent lives to their "noble" cause.
People in positions of government are destructive to the world. People who have allegiance to all people and life on earth irrespective of their nation or geography are the ones who can make the world a better place. Nationalism allows leaders to force their citizens to kill each other. It is impossible to deny.
Muslims, Christians, and Jewish people must learn to co-exist with respect. And if I ever fix my record player, I will stop repeating this. Besides, I'm more of a Buddhist than a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, though I try to identify with all of the above. I'm also eight percent atheist.
Oh yeah, one last thought: nuclear explosions suck.
You know what I love about the bombing pictures???
The hint of that Big Yellow M in the back ground,, better known as the 'golden arches' Interesting how some places can act so anti-american yet have a McDonalds....I'm now rolling my eyes......
tara you are hilarious. rolling my eyes!!
A previous entry on this blog brought up the subject of David Emerson. For those still interested in finding out why a person would be elected and then suddenly unapologetically do exactly the opposite of what his constituents want, please go to
http://www.mikewatkins.net/categories/politics/
It would be nice to see him get what he deserves. A jail sentence shouldn't be out of the question, nor should a four-month work term tree-planting so we can see what it looks like for a manipulative coward to be forced to work hard to actually make his nation better.
Hey, how many times do we edit our posts before they are viewed by Chanks and the infamous Psalm? Or for that matter Mrs. Encyclopedia herself!
newbie, you should be nice here ;) lol!
I can't tell you how many times I edit them....... I haven't learned to count that high yet! :P
